The Cancer and Pisces Trust (C&P) formally launched with its first event on the 3rd May 2022 and we cannot believe how quickly time flies. It has been almost eighteen months since the late Mick May and Marina Gibson spoke for the first time over the telephone. Since then, with the help of the trustees and friends, they have created a once-a-month free fishing centre in the north of England for cancer sufferers and companions to come and enjoy fishing with others on a similar journey.
Our northern fishing centre events take place on the first Tuesday of every month. The day is split into two 4-hour sessions, the first from 9am – 1pm, with a picnic lunch, sourced from Swinton, provided gratis by the Trust for our members by the lake and then followed by the second session commencing at 2pm and finishing at 6pm. Those attending the second session are also eligible to be provided with a free picnic lunch.
